JOURNEY 3 * Click on Pictures to enlarge
Being Zierikzee the most northern town during this weekend trip, we returned via Yerseke, THE village, known by all Belgians as the original "Mussel- & Oystertown". Oyster breeding reservoirs are located close to the sea cost (picture). Close to Kruiningen we had booked a night in a nice hotel-resto
called "Interscaldes"
(simply meaning "Between the different arms of the river Schelde"). It
is certainly worth the trip (as it was our tenth marriage anniversary) and the
restaurant is really exquisite. The few attached pictures (and the weblink) can
give you a better impression. Returning to Belgium we made a last stopover in Veere (at the famouse "Veerse Meer" - a giant lake, where surfing and sailing is the major actvitiy). The inner town offers nice shops (related to these activities of course) and as Belgian we appreciate of course the many terraces to have a drink, watch and enjoy..... :-) before finally driving back home :-(
